Abstract:The deep coupling of high-penetration distributed energy resources with diversified loads
significantly amplifies source-load stochasticity and complexity. This exacerbates three-phase load imbalance in
conventional distribution networks, posing a severe threat to grid stability and power quality. To address this,a
coordinated optimal control strategy for load imbalance in flexible distribution networks equipped with soft open
point(SOP)was proposed, taking into account the uncertainty of wind and solar power. Initially,an analysis of the three-phase load imbalance was performed, incorporating mathematical models of renewable generation and load characteristics. Subsequently,a power decoupling control model for an SOP,based on a three-phase,four-leg topology, was developed to enable flexible per-phase power regulation. A dual-objective optimization model was then formulated to minimize both system power losses and the degree of three-phase imbalance. Finally,a typical scenario set was generated based on probability models and Monte Carlo methods to quantify the impact of
randomness on wind power output. An adaptive particle swarm optimization(PSO)algorithm was employed to
solve the non-convex optimization problem and derive the optimal control commands for the SOP. A validation
framework was constructed through system-level case studies and device-level Simulink simulations. The results
demonstrate that the proposed strategy effectively mitigates load imbalance, improving both the system's
operational economy and its engineering feasibility.
