Abstract:Recent advancements in high-precision measurement devices,such as mirco-phase measurement
unit(μPMU),offer technical support for regional protection schemes. However, deploying μPMU across all
network nodes remains impractical due to economic and practical constraints. Therefore, under low-resistance
grounded distribution network conditions,a node zero-sequence voltage estimation method was proposed under
limited μPMU deployment. Furthermore, this method was applied to estimate unknown zero-sequence voltages at
nodes within fault regions, enabling calculation of the relative position coefficient α between fault points and
regional lines. Based on α,a fault line identification criterion was established, forming a regional protection
scheme. Finally, simulation results validate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
