Publication ethics

In order to ensure the quality of the journal and standardize the process of paper writing,review,editing and publishing,the publication ethics for the journal of Electric Drive is formulated according to the actual situation of our journal.

Peer review process

Peer review is an essential part of the publication process, it is designed to support and embody scientific methods. All papers submitted to the journal of Electric Drive undergo thorough peer review.Each published paper is reviewed by a minimum of single reviewer using a double-blind peer review process,where the author does not know the identity of the reviewer and the reviewer does not know the identity of the author.Papers will be checked for plagiarism before acceptance.

Publication ethics for authors

1. The paper must be original and has not been previously published.The paper shall not contain any content which infringes the copyright or other rights.Academic misconduct is strictly prohibited including but not limited to submit elsewhere and plagiarism.In case of academic misconduct such as infringement and disclosure,all responsibilities shall be borne by the author. Once the above phenomenon is found,the author's paper will be rejected and blacklisted.All submitted papers will be reviewed for plagiarism,and all or part of suspected of plagiarism will be rejected.

2. Authors should confirm that consent to submit has been received from all co-authors and responsible authorities at the institute/organization where the work has been carried out before the work is submitted.The paper should clearly indicate the financial support for the reported work and the authors,as well as any potential conflicts of interest.

3. The order of the author's signature should be sorted according to the contribution in principle,and the author's institution should be related to the research content of the paper.The signature of the author and institution shall be determined at submission.If it is necessary to change,a written application for change should be submitted to the editorial department,and all the signed authors before and after the change shall sign for approval.

4. If the author has any objection to the review opinion,he/she can appeal to the editorial department and give a detailed explanation.

5. Authors should obtain permission to publish from the copyright holder for any previously published content (including quotations, figures or tables). Once a paper has gone through the review process and a decision for final acceptance has been rendered,authors should communicate errors and inaccuracies found promptly.Any substantial and unauthorized changes made to the accepted paper must be communicated in writing to the Editor-in-Chief,who then will decide if a re-review is necessary.This includes addition or removal of any citations.Failure of such notification may be considered as author misconduct.

Publication ethics for reviewers

1. Reviewers should adhere to the principle of just and fair,evaluate papers only academically,and respect the independence of different methods and ideas.

2. Reviewers shall keep the paper confidential,and shall not publicly disseminate and utilize the paper or the intellectual property rights in any way before publication.Reviewers shall not show the reviewed paper to others,nor discuss it with irrelevant person.

3. Reviewers should review the paper in time according to the agreement. If the major of submitted paper is not suitable or there is any difficulty in reviewing,reviewers should return it in time,and it is permitted to recommend.If the reviewer cannot do the reviewing due to busy work,long-term absence,or conflicts of interest resulting from competitive,collaborative,or other relationships or connections with any of the authors,companies,or institutions connected to the papers,please inform the editorial department in time.

4. Reviewers should put forward an overall review opinion,and evaluate the innovation,scientificity,academic level,writing skill,published value and whether there is any academic misconduct.A clear review opinion of whether the paper is accepted,accepted after modification,reviewed after modification or rejection should be put forward in order to help the editor in decision;and specific suggestions of modifications should be pointed out to help the author to improve the paper.

Publication ethics for editors

The Editor-in-Chief supervises journal activities,with the aim to ensure success of the journal within the scientific community.The Editor-in-Chief is responsible for the scientific quality and development of the journal.The Editor-in-Chief is expected to maintain connection to the Editorial Board and assist the Editorial department in the management of the journal.The Associate Editors should support Editor-in-Chief of the journal to maintaining oversight of the editorial process for individual papers in their section,and advise on the strategic development of the journal.

1. Editors shall judge each paper fairly,impartial and timely,without regarding to the author's race,religion,national origin,gender,seniority or institutional background.

2. Editors shall keep the information of reviewers and the research content of authors confidential,and shall not disclose information that may affect the review,or interfere with reviewers to ensure the fairness and justice of peer review.

3. When selecting reviewers,editors should try to avoid the same institution and should not select signed authors as reviewers.

4. Papers submitted by the Editor-in-Chief or an Editor of the publication shall be handled by another Editor of the publication.

5. The Editor-in-Chief should provide to the authors a written rationale for editorial decisions regarding a paper submitted for publication.This is especially important if the paper is being rejected.

6. When the author makes a complaint,editors should treat it with caution and ask the reviewer to review or change the reviewer if necessary.

7. Editors should pay attention to the following:the principle of respecting the author's copyright,that is only modify the non-standard places (such as italics,punctuation,case,number segmentation,etc.), mistakes (such as clerical errors,grammatical errors,common sense errors,etc.) and the unified expression required by our journal;the principle of "try not to change",that is when the editor is not clear, first of all verifying by the author, then discussing with other editors, and at last finding reference and standards books.

8.Editors should take reasonable responsive measures when ethical complaints have been presented concerning a submitted manuscript or published paper.

Plagiarism detection

Plagiarism is a threat to scholarly publishing in general.Originality of the submitted work can be maximized through screening to prevent publication of plagiarized content.All papers shall be submitted to a plagiarism detection process to prescreen before reviewed.Any paper found to have plagiarized content,shall have its review suspended.Editorial department staffs shall inform each author that review of their paper has been suspended due to its similarity to previously published work,and provide the author with an opportunity to explain the similarity.

Post-publication corrections and retractions

Once a paper has been published,it is the journal and the authors` responsibility to correct scientifically relevant errors,or ethical issues that have been brought to our attention.It should be corrected by publishing a Correction. Decisions about Correction is made by Editor-in-Chief.Once the update request has been approved,the correction will be publishing in the most current Issue of the journal.Sometimes a paper needs to be retracted from the body of research literature.This could be due to inadvertent errors made during the research process,gross ethical breaches,fabrication of data,large amounts of plagiarism,or other reasons.Decisions about Retraction is made by Editor-in-Chief.The Retraction will be publishing in the most current Issue of the journal.The reason must be given in the published Correction or Retraction note.
